《〈Generation X〉》’s performance brings the house down

Generation X’s （note 1） performance (表演) brings the house down （全場掌聲雷動）

On May 7 evening I went to a rock concert held inside a factory building in Fotan, Shatin. The performing group is called 《〈Generation X〉》. The band leader is a professor at H K Baptist University, Patrick Lau, who teaches in the physical education department. Patrick plays bass guitar and the band's performance was indeed very professional.
They sang many old songs of the 1980s such as 《《Beyond》》's "guang fai shui yuet” （光輝歲月）。

Note 1: generation X 是指那些在1960年代和1970年代出生的人。（他們熱愛自由，爱唱民歌例如<<where have all the flowers gone?>>等. Generation Y是1980年代或以后出生的人（香港人叫這些人做80後， post-1980s）. Generation Y 的特點是他們懂得互聯網、digital gadgets等，但他們的溝通能力 （communication skills）還有進步的空間。在外國，generation Y又叫 the Echo generation或echo boomers, 因為他們都是baby boomers 的下一代。Baby-boomers是那些在第二次世界大戰後出生的人。
